According to the latest news on the web, the Nokia 5710 XpressMusic phone has been caught sight of in the wild. More exactly, it is reported to have made an appearance on the company’s US website. As many of you might already know, the device has been spotted last year at CES 2008, and now it seems that the handset might actually get released in the near future.
An update to 5700 XpressMusic has been expected since about 15 months ago, so it may come a little later than thought. Even so, rumors say that the device will be provided with significant upgrades, including a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus, a Series 40 platform/user interface, a microSD memory card slot, Bluetooth, and a music player. In addition, the appearance of the phone is also reported to be slightly changed, although it takes a lot after that of its predecessor.
Considering the currently available products on the market, the Nokia 5710 XpressMusic might turn, in the end, to be a nice mid-range handset. Since the Finnish maker did not say a word on the rumored device, all that we’ve got for now is a small picture that appeared on the company’s site. Moreover, while the body of the phone looks a lot like the Nokia 5700 Transformers edition, some voices say that an official announcement along with additional improvements, compared to the 5700 version, are highly expected.
