To install The Bat! Beta, unpack the downloaded RAR archive (you may need the unpacker) and replace TheBat.EXE file in The Bat! installation folder. (It is recommended to keep the previous stable .EXE file in a safe place just in case the new Beta causes problems)
As a general safety rule, it is recommended to create a backup before starting a new Beta. We try to keep public Betas as safe as possible, but it is always better to be on the safe side of things.
What’s New in This Release:
· Adding support of Unicode file names to backup/restore. Please test whether backup/restore works as usual (BETA issue)
· Exception logging with full call stack added. You can find this comprehensive log at “%EMAIL% hebat_Exceptions.log”
· Connection Center freezez/locks – open Connections don’t get closed – The Bat! is unable to be shut down clearly
· Connection hangs – Unsent messages lost
· Cannot stop connecting to server – “delete task” or “abort” is broken
· TB is trying to connect to non-existing server, task in CC can be deleted, but TB can’t be closed
· Number agreement error in Connection Centre
· Prevent Windows to close session if inet connection is created
· You can now export multiple selected certificates at once to a single directory, when using S/MIME internal implementation
· Connection timeout in the account properties was ignored
· TB is trying to connect to non-existing server, task in CC
